New Features: Ko-fi Integration & Minimum Donation Settings
Automatically forward Ko-fi donations to your stream alerts and filter small donations with minimum amount settings.
We're excited to announce two highly requested features that make Stream Alert even more powerful for streamers: Ko-fi Integration and Minimum Donation Amount settings.
These features give you more control over your donation alerts and expand the payment platforms your viewers can use to support you.
Ko-fi Integration
Ko-fi has become one of the most popular platforms for creators to receive support from their audience. With over 1 million creators using Ko-fi, it was only natural to add it to Stream Alert.
What's New
Stream Alert now supports automatic Ko-fi donation alerts. When someone supports you on Ko-fi, the donation is automatically:
- Forwarded to Streamlabs for on-screen alerts
- Forwarded to StreamElements for on-screen alerts
- Displayed in your Live Alerts dashboard in real-time
- Recorded in your donation history for analytics

How It Works
Ko-fi integration uses webhooks to instantly notify Stream Alert when you receive a donation. This means:

How to Set Up Ko-fi Integration
Setting up Ko-fi with Stream Alert takes just 2 minutes. Here's how:
Step 1: Open Apps in Stream Alert
- Log in to your Stream Alert dashboard
- Navigate to Apps in the sidebar
- Find the Ko-fi card and click Connect
Step 2: Copy Your Webhook URL
- A dialog will appear with your unique webhook URL
- Click the copy button to copy the URL to your clipboard
- Keep this URL private - it's unique to your account
Step 3: Configure Ko-fi
- Go to Ko-fi Webhook Settings
- Paste your webhook URL in the Webhook URL field
- Click Update to save
Step 4: Test Your Setup
- In Ko-fi webhook settings, click Send Test
- Check your Stream Alert Live Alerts page
- You should see a test donation from "Jo Example"
Note
Test donations from Ko-fi are automatically marked as tests and won't appear in your donation history.
Setup Complete!
Ko-fi donations will now automatically appear on your stream via Streamlabs or StreamElements. No further configuration needed!
Minimum Donation Amount
The second new feature gives you control over which donations trigger on-screen alerts: Minimum Donation Amount.
Why This Matters
Some streamers receive many small donations that can interrupt gameplay or conversations. With minimum donation settings, you can:
- Filter small donations - Only show alerts for donations above your threshold
- Reduce alert spam - Keep your stream focused during intense moments
- Still track everything - Small donations are saved to your history, just not forwarded to alerts
How It Works
Donations below your minimum amount are saved to your database and visible in your dashboard, but not forwarded to Streamlabs or StreamElements. This means you never lose track of any donation, but your stream alerts stay clean.
Example Use Cases
- $1 minimum - Filter out test donations and accidental micro-payments
- $5 minimum - Only show significant donations during competitive gameplay
- $0 (default) - Show all donations, no filtering
How to Set Minimum Donation Amount
Step 1: Open Donation Settings
- Log in to your Stream Alert dashboard
- Navigate to Settings → Donation Settings in the sidebar
Step 2: Set Your Minimum Amount
- Enter your desired minimum amount (e.g., 5 for $5)
- Click Save Settings
Step 3: Done!
From now on, donations below your minimum will be saved but not trigger stream alerts. Set to $0 anytime to disable filtering.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Ko-fi integration cost extra?
No! Ko-fi integration is included in all Stream Alert plans at no additional cost.
Does the minimum amount apply to all donation sources?
Yes, the minimum donation amount applies to all sources: Ko-fi, CashApp, Venmo, and any other donations tracked by Stream Alert.
Can I see donations that were below the minimum?
Yes! All donations are saved to your database regardless of the minimum setting. They appear in your Live Alerts dashboard and donation history - they just don't trigger Streamlabs/StreamElements alerts.
What happens to Ko-fi subscriptions?
Ko-fi subscriptions (monthly supporters) are treated the same as one-time donations. Each payment triggers an alert if it meets your minimum amount.
Can I change my webhook URL?
Your webhook URL is permanent and tied to your account. If you need a new one for security reasons, contact our support team.
